I have been an educator for almost 30 years in the public school system in California. I have served as a mentor teacher, Bilingual Resource Teacher and Literacy Coach. I have taught adults at the university level. I have been teaching third grade for the past 10 years. I have never stopped learning how to improve my teaching. I have taught in grades 1 - 4, though mostly in third. I have been a staff developer as well as, teaching university graduate students.
Come to my class ready to learn because you will learn a lot. Slacking and excuses are not allowed. I will not accept messy work or incomplete work. I will help you in every way possible for you to "get it." You may not care but I do. In the end you will.
Also, I'm a single dad raising two boys (ages 9 and 12). Sometimes I feel school never stops! One of my kids is currently attending the school I teach at (yes, it's that good). My colleagues are also my friends (many of which I've had their children in my class).
